How it works
When a car is exported from the Netherlands to another country, it must be exported correctly so that it can be imported without any problems. For import into Germany, for example, you always need a so-called registration certificate part 2. We can provide this completely online. In addition, we also offer the option of issuing export plates with 14 days' insurance, allowing you to drive safely and insured to your destination country.
The Process
Order and uploading documents
After purchasing the export document, you will receive an email with the password for the “Upload section” page. Here you must upload the necessary documents and information so that we can create the export document.
Submission of the Dutch licence plates
You must send the physical Dutch number plates to our address before we can issue the export document. We are required to store and destroy these number plates in accordance with RDW instructions. We only accept shipments via DHL Express.
Sending the export document
Upon receipt (before 4 p.m.) of the Dutch licence plates and if the uploaded information is correct and complete, we will send you the export licence plates still on the same day via DHL Express. Delivery time is usually 1 working day.
Export licence plates with insurance
If you also require export plates with 14 days' insurance, we can provide these for you as well. The plates take 1 working day to produce and will be dispatched the next working day together with the insurance policy (green card) and the export document. Please specify in the “Upload section” when you would like the policy to become valid. If you do not specify a date, the policy will be valid from the date of issue of the document.
